Richmond Park Loop Ride

It's Spring... It's Beautiful... Everything is blooming with life!!!

I am so excited for warmer weather. We had great day out. It was one of the most fun days that I have had in a while - definetly a perfect day for a great ride.

Richmond Park covers over 2000 acres. It is Britain's largest urban walled park, and the largest of the Royal Parks in London. The area is famous for it's red and fallow deer, which number over 600.

Distance ride: 11.8km

How to get there: We took underground train (District Line - Green Line)  from Algate East to Richmond. Also you can take overground.

Bike Hire: April through September, cycle hire is available daily in the car park near Roehampton Gate. Cost is £8 for 1 hour, £10 for 2 hours, £13 for 3 hours, £17 for 4 hours. ID is required as deposit.

Things to see: Ancient oak forests. The grassland is mostly managed by grazing herds of red and fallow deer roaming freely within much of the park. Isabella Plantation - an important and attractive woodland garden containing numerous woods and copses. From highest point within the park - King Henry VIII's Mound you can enjoy the view of St Paul Cathedral, London Eye, NatWest Tower and other views.
