5 Reasons to Read More Books

Image
I love lying in a hammock with a good book and disappearing into another world for a while. I recently read that reading comes with so many benefits. So all those hours spent with a book aren't just enjoyable; they are actually good for us.   Reading is good for your memory When you read, you store all kinds of facts in your memory. But you also have to process, understand, and retain information. You are constantly remembering characters, places, little details and everything that happened a few chapters ago. So, in that way, reading is a great way to train your memory. You develop your imagination When you read, you form a picture of the characters and the situation you are reading about in your mind. That is a great way to develop your imagination and fantasy. You learn how to visualise situations and people in your thoughts. You train your concentration Reading a book takes a lot of concentration and focus. Otherwise, you can’t follow the story properly. The more you rea...

Hello Again, After Nine Years

Image
It feels a little strange to be writing here again as the last time I wrote a post here was in 2017. Nine years have passed. I am not quite sure how that happened, but somehow life became busy, the years passed and I forgot about this little corner of the internet. To be honest, I had completely forgotten about this blog. A few days ago, I decided to check the stats and was amazed to see how many views my old posts still get every day. So, if any of you who used to follow my posts all those years ago are reading this now, a big hello from us! We are doing very well.    My little boy is not so little anymore. Nikita is 10 years old now, which is quite difficult for me to believe when I look back at the old photographs and posts here. He has grown into a boy who loves music, books and art. He plays piano and violin, he loves to read and  also, he enjoys drawing and creating. Music has become a particularly big part in our family life, and watching him grow into his own...

We Are Happy To Be Back

Image
Hello, hello, hello to everyone! We are back and I am really happy to be here again. I will share some photos with Nikita to see how big he is now and to fill the time gap. My last post was when he was 9 months and now he is 14 months. ahhh time flies so fast!  TEN MONTHS OLD I still remember that day. It was 8th of March. We were in Moldova and in Moldova on that day people celebrate International Women's day. We had a great day out, took lots of nice photos and after we went to my sister's house to celebrate the day. We had a day full of laughter, joy and happiness.

Nikita Is 9 Months Old

Image
Nikita has been on the "outside" as long as he has been on the "inside" and this feels like a huge milestone for us. When he was in my tummy I was always wondering when I will be able to finally hold my baby and now when he is 9 months old I am wondering how quick my little baby grows up. It's amazing watching him grow and develop. Nikita is an easy-going baby and most of the time he is cheerful, smiley baby. His cute smile makes us so happy. I love my sweet little boy so much. He is the most special tiny human & life is so beautiful with him in it. Nikita likes: - To grab and play with things he shouldn't - To put everything into his mouth - Reading books - To tear mama's magazines - Rolling all over the place - Bath time - Clapping his hands when his mama singing "ladushki, ladushki gde byli...?"  (It's a Russian clapping song.) - Being outdoors - To smile when I am not allowing him to grab something that h...

Nikita Is Growing And We Are Ready For Spring

Image
Hello my loves!  I haven't posted to my blog since November 2016 and I feel like I have been gone forever. I am so glad that I found few minutes to write this post. Also, I want to thank to those who keep writing me and asking if we are okay. We are absolutely fine, the problem is that I have no time like I had before, but I am very active on Instagram and I am sharing there lots of our everyday photos. I love Instagram so much. It's the fastest way to share your favourite photos with your friends. It's like a mini blog and I found lots of fantastic mamas there and I love reading their stories direct from my phone.  So, here I will share some photos and let me know if my baby changed since my last post. Now he is 8 months old, but in 4 days he will be 9 months old. Ohhhh I just can't believe my baby is almost 9 months old.  12 November 2016. We visited grandparents and we picked up the last apples from that tree.  12 November 2016. Nikita is chatting w...

Three Weeks In Italy And What We Visited

Image
We were on a road trip through Italy. We drove from North to South and stopped in Sicily for 10 days. I loved Sicily so much. Food and people are amazing there. All people were smiling to our little boy and he smiled back to them. The weather was really warm (highest+32 end of October) and we were enjoying sea bathing so much while our baby was sleeping in his stroller. On 24th of October our little Nikita had his first sea bath ever and he enjoyed it so much. I love to share all my special memories and someone asked me how is traveling with a baby and my answer was short: " so much fun and not too easy." Our little baby loves exploring, discovering and smiling to new people and for him this trip was a great experience and for us as well. In Sicily we visited: - San Vito Lo Capo (small holiday resort with a great beach) - Spiaggia di Mondello (nice sandy beach but crowded) - Trappeto (we stayed here) - Castellammare del Golfo (an attractive seaside town with breatht...

Happy 5 Months, Baby Nikita!

Image
You are the most delicate soul, the sweetest and kindest baby. From the moment you were born you filled our hearts with so much love. We are so blessed to have you here, with us, and every day. You are growing so so fast and it makes us so happy to know you are growing well, but we also want you to stay this little . It's been such a challenging few months but you have given us such an adventure. Creating new memories is our favourite part of this parenthood and we look forward to creating more memories together. At 5 months you love: - looking at yourself in the mirror; - reaching out for toys (things) you love; - reading books with your mama; - your feet and pull your socks off and suck your toes as often as possible; - talking to your mama and tata; - taking your soother out of your mouth and put it back in by yourself; - smiling to everyone; - making nice loud noises; - "Old Macdonald had a farm" song; - splashing the water in the bath; - playing with bunica...
