Mallorca (Majorca) - Lovely Island

Hello everyone,
How are you all????
I hope you are all well!

I am at home right now with some spare time, I thought I might say hello and write about our this lovely vacantion.I am so pleased and excited to share photographs and all those fantastic moments that we had in Mallorca.  We had a good time seeing many parts of the beautiful island. We had 3 full awesome days on the spanish island Mallorca with Sasha and another friend.

Mallorca or Majorca, as it’s sometimes known, is the largest of the four Balearic Islands which lie off the East coast of Spain, in the Western Mediterranean.
Mallorca or Majorca, which one is correct ? well both are fine.
I preffer to use Mallorca (local spelling). However many years ago the Island was known as Majorca (meaning Major Island of the Balearics). Majorca is an English spelling (and maybe other languages).

Below I will write briefly about all those destinations that we visited:

1. Cala Comptessa - Illetes
Cala Comptessa is a beautiful sandy beach, which is surrounded by trees and low cliffs. The beach is a little less than 100 metres long and not very wide. The easiest way to access Cala Comtessa is by car. Parking is possible in the streets close to the beach.

2. Deia Village
The village is located on a hill in the shadows of the Teix mountain. The village is the centre of a constant flow of famous visitors. It's a rare find these days, like stepping back in time, if you want countryside, olive groves, citrus orchards, mountains and the sea this it the place for you!

3. Cala Deia
Beautiful little beach with a superb view, wonderful to relax! I didn't swim, becasue it is a pebble beach and even with special shoes I knew that would be difficult for me to get in water. Sasha with my friend had a bath and were happy.

4. Port de Soller
It is one of my favourite spots in Mallorca. Great eating places, lovely bars, no drunken young tourists. A place for those who love natural beauty and who like the finer things in life.

5. Magaluf Beach
Magaluf is situated on the south west coast of Mallorca. The official name of the beach is Platja de Magaluf. I really loved this beach and I think that food and shops are quiet cheap. I loved the blue tones of the water and that there are all services at the beach.

6. Port d'Andratx
This place is a very high-class tourist centre. The port of Port d’Andratx's is lined with expensive sailboats and yachts. Combined with expensive shops, fashionable restaurants and nightclubs it makes Port d’Andratx to one of the most exclusive resorts in Mallorca.

7. Alcudia
Alcudia is one of the towns in Mallorca that takes care of its historical and cultural heritage. We Went for the Market and a view of the old town, church is spectacular, market was good my friend and I bought a few things at a very good price. Very picturesque and interesting old town.

8. Platja de Alcudia
The beach of Alcudia is fantastic, especially for families with children. It is a very long and wide beach with fine white sand and very shallow water. It was a gorgeous day and to be in such a lovely place was magical. I would recommend you make time to go and admire the views.

8. Cathedral (Le Seu)
The cathedral is situated in central of Palma - Capital of the Island. Palma de Mallorca is known for its history, culture and shopping. Amazing cathedral in an amazing city. You cannot avoid to see it in all its majesty, from any spot of the city :)

9. Port of Palma de Mallorca
Very nice port and It is located in middle of the city. There is a bridge and from that bridge the view is fantastic. A must see!

Have you ever visited this Island? What else can you suggest to visit??? Where is your favourite place to go on vacantion???

Keep yourself happy!!!
Much love
Liuba G

Mi-am imaginat, mi-a placut, iti multumesc!
    Pupici dulci!
